Albion Basin is located at the end of the road in Little Cottonwood Canyon, just outside Salt Lake City, Utah. The basin is famous for the wildflowers that take over the area, and people from the valley gather in a frenzy to enjoy the beauty of the flowers before they disappear. I joined the hype and on August 1, 2017, Hannah Rose Murphy and I traipsed up the canyon to take the following photographs. It was an early morning, as I wanted to shoot just as the sun started to rise behind the mountains. The light was incredible, with most of the basin still in the shadows with little bits of the sunlight making an appearance.
